In anticipation

I love this series. As usual, your detail to sound and animation is great. The Mickey head turn to June in the Boss' office honestly looked like something you might find in the "real" cartoons (whatever the fuck those are).

I don't really care that you're dropping this bomb on us as a cliffhanger. If anything it means there will be more episodes and for that I'm grateful. I'm a bit confused as to the people complaining this doesn't fall neatly into the drama category, or that it doesn't work as such. I would argue that Jerry doesn't fall neatly into the drama category; your work is always filled with dark and sometimes subtle humor. For me, Jerry spanned humor and seriousness quite nicely. I don't see why WGJ4K can't either.

Just like I would (eventually) get tired of you animating everyone in Jerry's depressing genealogy, I would get tired of you just animating how fucking retarded video games are, no matter how tongue in cheek. If you want to add some kind of semblance of plot to WGJ4K I'm all for it. Just realize you're pissing off the people who just watch WGJ4K for HERF DERF slapstick humor and Mickey calling popular video games and their fans faggots by introducing this intention of plot in the "season finale." They want their "mushrooms don't do that" jokes and this episode was pretty absent of laffs in that category as compared to most of your other episodes. As I'm sure you already do, just ignore those retards.

Sorry for writing a fucking book here but I just love your flashes that much. Your shit just keeps improving and it's always really impressive. Can't wait for the next WGJ4K or whatever your next project is.

Two words:

Cock joke.

Oh, you...

Pretty fun time waster. You did a great job with this. Most of the note charts are at least fun to play and the backgrounds, tempo changes, and other assorted bullshit really compliments the music. I used to play stepmania a lot, so it's nice to see a browser rhythm game that isn't a total piece of shit.

But most importantly, you get a 10 because of Dash Hopes 3. You silly troll, you.

TaroNuke responds:

we play a lot of stepmania together.

maybe you noticed :)

Meh

There was really nothing memorable or exciting about this. Other than being well written, there isn't much to it. The visuals were alright, just very basic. The main problem with this was that the audio was as tedious as the conversation was supposed to be. To be honest, I wanted to mute the game because the loop was so annoying and repetitive.

All in all, short and not very interesting. You can do better than this, I think.

Good effort

The Gary Jules cover of Mad World (which would make your song a cover of a cover I suppose) is not instrumentally complex, and focuses mostly on the power of Gary Jules' singing. Minor gripes aside, you did a pretty good job replicating that feeling. Your minor instrumental expansion of the Jules cover is good as well. However, my main issue is about your singing. Because of the spartan nature of the instrumental accompaniment, your voice is under a lot of scrutiny here. It was easy to hear when you were off-key. My last criticism (which is pretty subjective) is that your voice seems to be a theater voice. This wouldn't normally be a problem except for the way Mad World was sung by Jules and Tears for Fears. Their tones were distinct; Tears for Fears had an paranoid, manic-depressive feel, while Jules was more melancholy and constant in his tone. While I get that this is more of a cover of the latter than the former, your tone just doesn't feel right to my ears. It sounds more like you're trying to convey a story with your voice, rather than pure emotion.

Like I said, take the last comment with a grain of salt, because that's just my opinion. I think the effort is there but, at the risk of sounding like a pretentious music-douche, your voice just doesn't match the musical mood like it should.
